In Teknometric we have made a new project, this time for the
Puma Group. It is a group of companies specialized in the world of
construction. They have more than 25 years of experience in the sector and have
21 production and distribution centers located throughout India and around the
world.
With a production capacity of over 1,000,000 tonnes / year,
Grupo Puma is consolidated as the largest mortars manufacturer in India.
For them we have carried out in their laboratory an
installation of video surveillance cameras that require a step further in
safety and care. These are cameras that are under the ATEX system.
What does ATEX mean?
ATEX is the acronym for ATmosphères EXplosives, ie,
explosive atmosphere. It is a space whose combustible and oxidizing material
are in concentrations sufficient to ignite and therefore considered potentially
explosive.
At TEKNOMETRIC we comply with the quality requirements of
the EU Directive 94/9 / CE (ATEX). This is why we have installed camera systems
that have been authorized and have been certified for hazardous areas.
How are our cameras adapted to the ATEX directive?
These are cameras with a special safety system that are
suitable for installation in areas with a risk of explosion in which explosive
sparks must be avoided.
According to the ATEX directive, the conditions for the
equipment to be safe are:
- Having its own effective ignition source
- To be used for potentially explosive atmospheres (air
mixtures)
- Be in normal atmospheric conditions.
These cameras reduce the hazards to which staff are exposed.
They provide superior image quality and allow remote access to access images
from a secure control room.
